How are content, technology and marketing related?

Give some examples of these.

Marketing is all about letting the world know about your products and services.

A consistent way to do that is by writing articles, creating videos and posting on facebook, all of which are regarded as content.

The technology part comes into play as your content needs to live somewhere for example a youtube video lives on youtube, an article could be on your blog and facebook posts are on facebook.

When you put all that content on the internet, people don"t automatically come to it. You need to market it, so you can do things like advertise using something like facebook or youtube to attract people to your content.

So to sum up, you create content you need technology to store that content on the internet, and you need marketing to attract people to the content.

Content marketing campaign?

I"m in charge of creating a content marketing campaign at my company, and I am trying to think of the best way to distribute our initial content to B2B sales prospects.

We have some names and phone numbers of people who we are targeting, but ideally we would like to get their email addresses, which are generally not published online or in directories.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can obtain these email addresses?

I suggest you call each prospect, introduce yourself and ask for the email address. Not only will your emails get opened at a higher rate, you avoid any CAN-Spam legal problems. This also gives you an opportunity to qualify and learn more about each prospect"s interest level.

Sales people get phone calls all the time. Calling them is the most effective way to start your content marketing program. If you don"t have the staff, engage an outside call center.
