Acxiom buys marketing data services firm LiveRamp for $310M (Seeking Alpha)

LiveRamp"s services allow advertisers to integrate offline data for use in online marketing campaigns. The all-cash deal is expected to close mid-summer, and be dilutive to Acxiom"s (ACXM) EPS.LiveRamp, which competes against Acxiom rival Datalogix, claims 200+ customers (inc. Major brands) as well as the ability to integrate with ad tech solutions from nearly 100 firms. The company has 70 employees, and has seen 100%+ revenue growth each of the last two years.The deals comes amid growing interest among Internet giants in using offline data to boost online ad ROIs. Acxiom is already working with Google and Facebook on better leveraging offline purchase data.Acxiom CEO Scott Howe admits to AdAge some of LiveRamp"s marketing data partners "will probably be uncomfortable at first blush" upon hearing of the deal. His company promises to "maintaining an open and neutral onboarding service for the entire marketing ecosystem."Separately, Acxiom is guiding for FY15 (ends March "15) revenue to be down 5% Y/Y and for EPS to be in a range of $0.75-$0.85; that"s below a consensus for -0.5% growth and EPS of $0.87.
