I do Web promotions in the U.S. And I"m currently in Hanoi, Vietnam for my wedding and to spend some time with my new wife.
Vietnam"s Internet infrastructure is very new, and traditional online marketing techniques used in the states may not be as effective here. Most of the Viet households don"t have computers and most of the Internet usage is done at Internet cafes. Therefore, search engines and online ads don"t penetrate the population as deeply as in the U.S.
On the other hand, most everyone here has an E-mail address. That in mind, E-mail marketing could be a very powerful online promotion tool as it is in the U.S.
